Tales by Dale - Images of Tokyo... Arrival and boarding The World

Just a little snippet of this massive city. There are some wonderful buildings, and the skyline is impressive at night.

This is how many people it takes to work out directions in Tokyo.  The rule is everybody talks over one another in different languages.  It seems to work.

These were two of the many kids that I saw in my few days in Tokyo.  They are sooooo scrumptious. Cute as buttons.

This restaurant was a Tempura only place that has existed from 1885.   It was so good, and had only about 10 seats.  We were 7 and filled the place.  Lots of sake and wine.  This same family has run the restaurant since the beginning, and the Tempura was excellent.

Wonder what's in the beautiful little head!!

Tempura master.

Hello Tokyo!  This was the view from my room the morning after arrival in Tokyo.  There are 13 million people here and it goes on forever.  I was on the 27th floor and there was a 5.6 earthquake.  I felt it, and the building really swayed, but they get them all the time

View from the hotel again.  The city is so impressive and well organized and clean.

Love the hairdo.  Love the pose.

The ladies in Tokyo are dainty and so feminine.  All so tiny.

Loved these two ladies who lunch.  Saw them in a little shopping area and had to do all kinds of wiggling around to get a picture of them, but it was worth it as they were so cute.  They always sit like that and look so proper.  Lovely.

Fans and kimonos.  Perfect combination.

I was at the terminal when the World came in, and it was fun to see it arriving complete with marching band.

The Ginza - very high end shopping.

My temporary home on board.

Alison on deck as the ship leaves Tokyo.

Tokyo harbour.  Next stop Yokohama so will report in then.......
